| Description |
The Coreper reached an agreement on this Framework Decision on 21 October 2009.
This Framework Decision was to be the first legislative achievement under a new
approach proposed by the Commission and the Swedish Presidency. This new approach
is reflected in a roadmap
finalised together with this Framework Decision. However, the negotiation did
not lead to an adoption in time before the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty.
It will continue on the basis of the
proposal for a directive which has been submitted by Member States on the
basis of the political agreement reached on this Framework Decision. |
